With legal support of the Association, the mother of the former political prisoner and fallen serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Hennadii Afanasiev received financial assistance from the Ministry of Reintegration for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 of his legal imprisonment. The set of documents to recognize Hennadii as a person deprived of personal liberty and the application form to receive this state aid were prepared by our organization.

This financial support in the amount of 100 000 UAH for each year of captivity is provided by the state under the Law “On social and legal protection of people found to have been deprived of their personal liberty as a result of military aggression against Ukraine, and members of their families” which came into force on November 19, 2022. This law applies to persons who were imprisoned after February 20, 2014, the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
