Tofik Abdulhaziiev was born on June 19, 1982, in Samarkand, Uzbekystan.
At the age of 7 he went to the first class of Samarkand secondary school.
After finishing the 8th class, he entered a vocational school to become an auto mechanic. In 1999, he received a diploma of "auto mechanic-gas engineer".
At the age of 18, Tofik moved to Crimea. Like many Crimean Tatars, he had difficulties with finding a job and housing. Having no stable job, he worked in various fields, mastered many specialties. Married twice, has 4 children.
After the first arrests in Crimea, Tofik began to actively participate and organize events for children of Crimean political prisoners. He was an activist of the NGO "Crimean Solidarity", a sound engineer, a participant of the project "Crimean Childhood". He was engaged in the transfer of food to prisoners in pre-detention centers, attended courts on politically motivated cases, came to support his compatriots during raids in their houses.
On May 4, 2017, Tofik's house was searched. He remained free then.
After a second search in his house on March 27, 2019, Tofik Abdulhaziiev was arrested on unfounded charges. 23 more people were detained that day.
On May 12, 2022, in Rostov-on-Don, the Southern District Military Court sentenced Tofik Abdulhaziiev to 12 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony, including the first 5 years in prison and restriction of liberty for one year after release.
