Teimur Abdullaiev is a Crimean Tatar civic activist, gym owner, taekwondo coach. He was detained during raids by FSB officers in the homes of Crimean Tatars who profess Islam. Electronic media and Islamic literature were seized from Teimur.
Married, has five children.
On June 18, 2019, the North Caucasus District Military Court of the Russian Federation sentenced the defendants in the Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case. Teimur Abdullaiev was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony with restriction of liberty for 18 months. On December 24, 2019, the Supreme Court reduced the sentences of the defendants in the Simferopol case by 6 months.
In March 2020, the family learned that Teimur Abdullaiev had been sent to IK-2 in Salavat, Bashkortostan. Upon arrival, he was immediately sent to a punishment cell. In May 2021, the colony administration extended Teimur's stay in the punishment cell (SHIZO) until June 6. The Crimean Tatar attributes this to his refusal to cooperate with the secret service, which visited him already on the territory of the colony.
In May 2021, Diliara Abdullaieva, the mother of the convicted brothers Teimur and Uzeir, announced that her sons' health condition was critical due to pressure in the colony.
During a short-term meeting with Teimur, she saw her son exhausted: all skin and bones, his face was swollen, his eyes were bloodshot, and many broken capillaries visible on the retina. Teimur suffered a hypertensive crisis and coronavirus in the colony.
