He was born in the village of Levadky, Simferopol district of Crimea.
He entered the Crimean Institute of Information and Printing Technologies of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing, faculty of printing technology engineering.
Asan worked for the Crimean Tatar newspaper “Avdet” for five years. The need to earn money to support his family forced him to work in food delivery for the last year before his detention.
He is married, has 2 children.
On September 3-4, 2021, russian security forces conducted raids, accusing Asan of blowing up a gas pipeline in the village of Perevalne, which occurred on August 23, 2021.
The security forces beat Asan, took him to the forest and threatened him with execution, and tortured him with electric shocks in the presence of a so-called state lawyer.
On September 21, 2022, the “Supreme Court of Crimea” announced the verdict against Nariman Dzhelialov and the Akhtemov brothers. Asan was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony with a fine of 500 thousand rubles and restriction of liberty for 1 year.
