Rinat Aliiev was born on January16, 1964 in Karshi station, Kashkadaria region, Uzbekystan. In 1971, Rinat wentto the first class in Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai.
When theyoung man completed the 8th class, he decided not to continue hisstudies at school and immediately entered the Crimean vocational school.
At the age of18, Rinat was drafted into the army. After his service, he worked as a mechanicin Novorossiisk. The last years before his arrest were spent in Crimea – theman worked in Yalta, organized tourist trips to Ai-Petri plateau.
Rinat wasnever married, has no children.
On August 11, 2022, from 4 a.m., massive raids in homes of Crimean Tatar Muslim activists tookplace in Dzhankoi and Dzhankoi district of Crimea. As a result of theinvestigation, 6 people were detained, including Rinat Aliiev. All detaineesare charged under Art. 205.5 of the RF Criminal Code — organization orparticipation in the activities of a terrorist organization.
